Asus Eee PC 1001PX netbook

If you are looking for a cool netbook, the ASUS 1001PX, which has a case in carbon fiber. The netbook will run under Windows XP, and it will offer a 160GB hard drive and a battery life of 5 hours; or Windows 7 with a 250GB hard drive, a 6-cell battery and a battery life from 9 hours. The Windows XP version will cost a price about $325, while the Windows version 7 is at $400. In addition, the two netbooks offer the same features:

Asus Rampage III Extreme motherboard

Asus has officially unveiled images of its motherboard Asus Rampage III Extreme, which is based on the Intel X58 chipset. Details such as pricing and launch date are still not known, but thanks to photos, we can glean a lot of technical information on this LGA 1366 motherboard. Asus unveils its Cine5 speaker

Asus has just announced the launch of the Asus Cine5 PC speaker, which gives a 5-channel surround sound thanks to new EmbracingSound Theatre HD technology. It has an power of 15W RMS, an input and an output jack 3.5 mm, all in sizes of 373 x 100 x 100mm for a price of 150 euros.

ASUS DR-900 ebook reader

Back at CeBIT, where ASUS has unveiled its DR-900 ebook reader. This gadget offers an E-Ink screen of 9 inches (1024 x 768 pixels), Wi-Fi, 3G optional, a capacity of 4GB, a SDHC slot, and is compatible with PDF, TXT, MP3, ePUB, all with an endurance of 10000 pages. No price was announced.

Two ebook readers from ASUS: the DR-950 DR-570

Asus had absolutely nothing presented at CES, despite some statements, so it’s a surprise that the brand has announced the release in 2010 of its first two ebook readers: the DR-950 and DR-570! The first model, the DR-570 offers a color touchscreen OLED 5.7-inch display (768 x 1024 pixels), Wi-Fi, 3G, a battery life of 122 hours, a capacity of 4GB, SDHC slot, compatibility with ePub, PDF, TXT, MP3, MP4, AVI, all with dimensions of 124 x 170 x 8.8mm and weighing 200g.

The second, the DR-950, has an E-Ink touchscreen 9-inch display (1024 x 768 pixels), a capacity of 4GB, SDHC slot, Wi-Fi, 3G, USB port, an jack output and compatibility with PDF, TXT, Audible, MP3, ePub. Its dimensions are 222 x 161 x 9mm for 370g. No price was announced.
