Belkin has introduced its new line of wireless routers that are designed to help you enjoy your digital content, instead of taking the lead with all the hassle of setting up a network. The new line consists of Surf, Share, Play, and Play Max routers. The new range of wireless routers offer various apps to make your life easier. The Belkin routers are priced between 50$ and $130 depending on the model.
Synology has released its latest NAS (Network Attached Storage), called DiskStation DS410. This NAS offers a 1.6GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, a built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption, Gigabit Ethernet, an eSATA port, two USB 2.0 ports and can accommodate up to four 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA hard drives, or four 2.5-inch SSD drives for up to 8TB of storage capacity. The NAS delivers an average of 115MB/s in reading speed under RAID 5 configuration in a Windows environment, and 54MB/s of writing speed. The Synology DiskStation DS410 NAS is available for pre-order via Amazon for a price of $499.
Cisco announced yesterday a device that will “change the Internet forever”. This device is the CRS-3, the fastest router in the world with a transmission capacity of up to 322 terabits per second, or 322,000 billion bits per second! These figures do you say may be nothing, but in theory this router should have the ability for all the Chinese people, including children, to have video conferences simultaneously… It’s not for tomorrow and even less for individuals, especially as the CRS-3 costs a price of $90,000, but imperative for the future of the Web.
Dane Elec announced the myDitto, a NAS server really promising and very simple to use. The USB flash drive delivered with this product would be enough to access your data remotely.
A NAS makes many services. Very handy to save your data, concentrate on one point all your multimedia files, share them via the Net at your convenience, etc. However, if manufacturers are making efforts to make their products more attractive and appropriated by the general public, there is still some barriers, such as configuring the router.

The concept is attractive on the paper. In fact, the Wi-Fi Direct should ensure that all devices equipped with Wi-Fi to connect to each other so completely invisible and transparent. So, each device can be transformed into an access point.
We expect more about it, but know that the Wi-Fi Direct should embrace the WPA2 encryption standard, and should be used later in the year 2010. Apple has already confirmed it would use the service.
Buffalo has unveiled its new wireless router with Gigabit hub, the DWR-HP-G300N. Nothing too impressive here, because ultimately, the router is very similar to previous versions proposed by the same manufacturer.
However, the big difference lies in the fact that it comes with a small 3G adapter to receive all necessary information via your router (Once it is installed), and allowing you to connect to the Internet outside the perimeter of the router, and this via 3G. It will however ask your Internet provider, the SIM card.
