The latest HMX-H205 HD camcorder of Samsung has been announced in the United Kingdom and has a brand new sensor image processing that offers images clear like crystal, despite conditions of low light. You can store your video on a 32GB SSD, and you also have a SDHC slot. The Samsung HMX-H205 HD camcorder has a 20x optical zoom, and it can record video in H.264 1080i at 60 frames per second. You can even plug it into your HDTV using the HDMI port. It is equipped with a 2.7-inch screen. The price is not known, but it will arrive this June.

Sigma DP1x and DP2s digital cameras

First manufacturer to offer a compact digital camera with the body of a DSLR, the Japanese manufacturer Sigma introduced the evolution of its DP1 and DP2: The DP1x and DP2s digital cameras. Two more updates as new devices. The shape and physical dimensions are the same and the focal lengths are the same (28 mm F4 for DP1x and 41 mm F2.8 for DP2s) and only the arrival of True II processor on DP1x (already present on the DP2 ).

Pentax Optio W90 rugged digital camera

Even if Pentax was not at the PMA 2010 this year, the Japanese manufacturer take this event to announce its new compact digital cameras destined for the more adventurers of you, the Optio W90, which offers resistance to water up to 6m deep, a shock resistance up to 1.2 m and a resistance to extreem temperatures from -10° C to +40° C.
On the technical side, the Pentax Optio W90 offers a CCD sensor of 12.1 megapixels, a 28-140mm wide angle lens with a 5x optical zoom, a anti-reflective screen of 2.7 inches in 16:9 size and with a resolution of 230K pixels, the movie recording in 720p, a SD/SDHC port and obviously the stabilizers and other optical detectors of scenes, faces, etc… Price: 299 euros by mid-March.

Samsung ST60 and ST70 digital cameras

Like all the months of January, manufacturers update their range of compact digital cameras for the consumer market. So Samsung has announced two new ultra compact digital cameras, the ST60 and ST70, which offer respectively a 12.2-megapixel sensor and 14.2-megapixel sensor, respectively, a wide angle lens of 27.5 mm and 27mm, respectively an optical zoom of 4x and 5x, a screen of 2.7 inches, dual image stabilization (optical + digital), video recording in 720p at 30fps in H.264, the recognition of faces and scenes, all in a thickness of 16.5 mm. Price: respectively 169 euros and 199 euros for this spring.

Samsung has also announced a new entry level compact digital camera, the PL80, which offers a 12.2-megapixel sensor, a wide-angle 28mm lens with a 5x optical zoom, the Smart Car, a double stabilization (optical + image), the function of object tracking, face detection and smile, video recording in VGA at 30fps, a screen of 2.7 inches, all in 96.8 × 57 5 × 20.2 mm. Price: 149 euros for the month of March.
